Record Rainfall in Oklahoma

What a record breaking year for Oklahoma regarding rainfall. In the last 24hrs I measured 6.48" with a max rainfall rate of 9"/hr around midnight. This brings my total so far this year to an unbelievable 50.2". With 10 years of data all rainfall records have been broken this year with the exception of consecutive days without precipitation.

Hi Doug,

I understand the amount of rainfall. Glad you aren’t floating down the Red River. At the present I could almost finish out the year without rain and still be on the plus side.

Haven’t had quite as much as you, but I am up to 45.66 as of today with 84 days of measurable precip. so far. Longest “dry” spell I’ve has was back in Feb. with 10 days without precip.
