The Meteorological Development Laboratory creates 24 hour experimental hourly US forecast maps , and you can find my script for them here . Bear in mind the forecast parameters are limited to Temperature, Dewpoint, Ceiling, Visibility, Temperature Error, and Dewpoint Error while also providing 24 hr. retrospective hourly analysis maps for Radar, Surface Pressure Winds, and North American Surface Pressure.
If you’re interested in a 192 hr. forecast every 3 hours with 6 hr. granularity, the MDL also creates these forecast maps , my script for which you can find here . The parameters of this map series include Weather, Thunderstorms, Precipitation, Severe Weather, Precipitation Intensity, Frozen Precipitation, and Freezing Temperatures.
They might not at all be close to what you’re looking for…
Actually, the MDL may do what I want. I’ll check that out.
The second one, is a bonus. That was going to be my next project.
Very much appreciated.
I’ll get to that as soon as I figure out my WD crashing issue first. :bang:
