Hi guys
I thought that I would report how I fixed my own comm port error with WD.
Have had this error for awhile now, and today I installed a new SSD drive and with the process of re-installing everything, I had noticed (and confirmed) that Logitech’s SetPoint is the issue (with an install, produced the comm port error, and uninstall that returned my comm port to OK).
Uninstalled SetPoint and my comm port error went back to:
Comm Port OK
I hope that this helps someone else, with this error and has SetPoint installed.
I don’t know if this will help the developers of WD, but I think I should also report it to Logitech.
If anyone else has the same experience, please reply to this post.
P.S: I hope that this can be placed into one of the many great WD FAQ section, so it helps others with the same issue.
