I haven’t bothered with the smoke test yet as I’ve just about had it with the 180, it’s not unreliable enough for me. I get periods of a few days when everything is working OK then I lose one, or more, of the instruments until I reset them and / or the console. Sometimes I lose a sensor for as couple of days then it just starts working again without me doing anything, all a bit bizarre.
Pleased to hear you’re not experiencing problems with your Davis gear although I believe the UK version works on 868MHz which may, or may not, have an issue with 70cm harmonic interference - hopefully not! Davis is the route I intend to go when I can afford to, ideally I’d like the Wireless Vantage Pro2 Plus with 24-Hour Fan-Aspirated Radiation Shield plus an Anemometer Transmitter Kit so that I can get the anemometer up high…but the wife’s not convinced
