Missing degree symbols on SS Gauges and Graphs [RESOLVED]

I am seeing “?” instead of the degree symbols on the temperature and wind direction gauges/graphs

I am aware that the graphs are not showing as yet and this is being worked on with the assistance of Simon Hammond.

See: http://www.bobhewitt.co.uk/pictures/WeatherDisplay/SteelSeries/gauges-ssT.htm

I am viewing this on a MacBook Pro using either Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

On my WD Vista PC using IE8 the ? appears as a small square.

Can anybody enlighten me?

Try installing the W3C validator link on the page and see what it thinks. The SteelSeries Gauges need to be UTF-8 encoded in order to display properly. My guess is that you’ve got character encoding at work other than UTF-8.

I have just reinstalled the gauges 1.6.5 zip and used Dreamweaver 8 to edit the gauges.js. I then uploaded it to my website and I now have the correct degree symbols. I just need to get the graphs to pop-up over the dials. They appear on the wxgraphs_test.html.

For computers read confusers :?

Bob, I’m wondering whether your problem was the same as the one described in this thread…
