On the cool side

US National Weather Service Alaska

Very cold temperatures continue to be reported over much of Alaska today. The interior village of McGrath reported a low of -53 degrees early this morning which is much colder than their “normal” low of -15 for this date. With the exception of the Arctic Coast and most of the Panhandle below “normal” temperatures seem to have become, well, the new normal.

Talking 50 in Iowa next couple days that weather will pry be here next week.

I’ve never seen it this cold for this long. "I remember it 70 below one time, but not for too long.
