Have tried downloading the full version of WD a second time in case something got corrupted?

Hi Budgie,
I loaded the main weather display install file v 10.37Q build 87.
Version on 7 November 2011 - 20:04:43 24.61 MB
From Weather display download site.
When I reload Build 47 eveything works OK

Rusty

try updatng the tide program version you have

Tried that same version 2007

what shows in the
runtide.bat
file
where WD is installed

its strange you have this problem as there are no other reports of this problem
(and I use the tide program myself and no problem)

wxtide32 -htoff -01:00 -ltoff -01:00 -bmp “C:\wdisplay\tidegraph.bmp”

try editing that .bat file
with notepad.exe
and see if you can get the error stopped
(i.e Manually run it)
also
compare that file produced with build 44

Compaired both bat files they are identical

I have renamed the old directory and reinstaled build 87 & tide program.
Now they both work OK. (BUT) if I unzip the backup from databackup112011.zip the fault returns.
I don’t want to lose the last 12 month records and info, so which files and from which directorys do I need to copy back to get last 12 month data.

If you have the backups switched on then WD will amend the backup112011.zip by itself with the latest settings & data so there shouldn’t be a requirement to backup anything else.

Yes I assumed that, but like I said if I use the copy from the old directory build 47 it corups the tide page on the new setup.
I would like to retrieve as much history, month on month etc as I can off the build 47 version then do a backup.
At the moment I have no history from the last 12 month on the build 87.

bring across the data files and logfiles and web files from the back to build 87

I have copied the 3 complet directory’s across DATAFILES - WEBFILES - LOGFILES
Most things seem to be OK, having a bit of bother with WDL if I live preview it in the program all the graphs and records seem OK, but on my web site they are there but show different data.

Is the Real Time FTP running to upload the clientraw files?
Look in the task bar, near the clock, on your PC and see if there’s a grey & yellow icon with red “FTP” on it.
If this is running then double click on it and see what’s happening.

Yep it seams to be running OK see below.
Dials are moving and are the same as the WD and the counsel and the Rainfall Last 31 Day seams OK, Rainfall Last 7 Days is showing non when there was rain, Rainfall Last 24 Hours is showing rain.
Strange Eh.

Got it all working but had to go back to Build 42. 87 kept locking up my logger and WD.
Better the devil you know Eh.
Thanks everyone for your help.

surprised that build 87 is causing problems
if you have a USB data logger then make sure to be using the latest silicon labs driver
you still could get those lock ups with build 42 if you do not upate to the latest driver

Hi windy thanks for bearing with me with my problem.
I am using XP Pro with a USB Serial Port (COM4) with a Technoline WS-2350 data logger.
Can you be more specific with witch silicon labs driver I should download the name or whatever, please.
The one on my system at the moment is.
Driver Provider : FTDI
Driver Date : 18/03/2011
Driver Version : 2.8.14.0
Didital Signer : Microsoft

I typed silicon labs driver in google and its like a mine field.
I don’t want to knack everthing up as Build 42 is still working fine no lockups.

As you didn’t have your station type in your profile, Windy thought you had a Davis VP2 station.
As you have a WS2350, with a built-in datalogger, the Silicon Labs drivers are not needed, they are for the Davis Weatherlink Dataloggers only.
