Brian, please remember my email about the com port release.
With the setting to release the com port for 1 minute at specified times WD release it for 2 minutes!! at the specified times. Maybe I loose some rain data then.
Sascha
i have made a tweak with the code that might help with that for the next version…
You can add mine also…
This is for my WD Live page
http://mywebpages.comcast.net/aberdeenweather/wdl2
Aberdeen, Maryland
This is for my home page
http://mywebpages.comcast.net/aberdeenweather
Is this replacing the old list of sites using WD?
Is this replacing the old list of sites using WD?
no
this is just a site to list WDL sites…as opposed to general WD web site
thats all
You can add mine too.
The WD Live page is
http://weather.preussweb.com/wdlive.htm
for 6 different views.
The main weather page is:
http://weather.preussweb.com
Location is Succasunna, NJ and the weather station is called “The Chesler Terrace Weather Station”.
and mine !
Town = Weymouth
County = Dorset
Country = UK
URL = www.geoffwebber.co.uk/weather
Now… sometime ago I suggested (to Julian) that he creates a method where we can all upload our clientraws to a separate location so that a single page (or pages) will display like values from a number of AWS in one display.
Obviously this wont be all data - just the max / mins and current stuff (say).
That way I could see at a glance what the current temp, windspeed, rainfall etc etc is all over the world.
you could almost do that now…
but having a web page with a whole series of WDL on it (and maybe simplied ones with just temperature and windspeed/direction)
and each display , on that page, is linked to its own config.xml file , and then file points to a different clientraw.txt file…
you could almost do that now...Indeed. The only problem would be that you're getting data cross domains so, if you're using the latest Flash player, you'd get a security warning. Nothing at all with older versions.
Chris and myself started work on a meso map type of display for WDL using this sort of information but work on v2 meant that it never got very far. I might have some time to look at this again though.
Julian
The WD Live page is http://weather.preussweb.com/wdlive.htm for 6 different views.
Any chance of a copy of the wdlconfig.xml file for “weather 2”. I kinda like that layout
Brian - the page access from the WDL page on the live website has an extension of SHTML not PHP …
http://www.weather-display.com/wdl/index3.shtml
so all us new devotees are not getting the publicity we richly deserve
where are you seeing that link vegit8?
geoff:
http://www.weather-display.com/wdlive.php
is the start point page now for WDL, linked from the main wd web page
and replaces
