Hurricane Frances, land fall in 48hrs. at my location

Hello eveyone. We are expected to have hurricane Frances make land fall here at my location, the north tip of the St. lucie river. I’m 5 miles from the coast and live on the river. Probably won’t have a house anymore let alone a weather station. It’s been nice knowing you all and thank you Brian for all your help. Observations can be monitored at my webpage untill power goes out and battery backup fails. I may need some known data in the future if anyone observed it because i probably won’t be here, thinking of a school that’s a shelter.
Good luck to your future
Emilio Sanseviero

Can you post the url of your station.

hi
stay safe!

lets see what you good ole WM918 can record 8O

i see there is now a tail to the north of the hurricane…i find they tend to follow the tail (upper level winds).//././so it might be the carolinas that get it instead…

Some past tracks here http://www.boatus.com/hurricanes/hurricane_spaghetti.asp

the models all came together recently, the high pres isn’t going to move anytime soon, getting a little hairy around here. 8O

Man - good luck!
I’ve been following Frances all day and have heard some bad things about her. She’s supposed to be twice as big as Andrew!

Here’s a site with some awesome high resolution photos:

if you have a broadband internet connection have a visit to

and click on the # LIVE VIDEO: Hurricane Frances Coverage link for a live TV feed about the preparations for Frances

yes, it does look like a hit on florida now, looking at its movement, and forecast tracks!
oh boy, what a year 2004 is shaping up to be
we have had drought then floods and now snow, all 100 year events, over the last 2 years here in NZ…

Anybody else out there in Fla with their station up? Emilio’s page has exceeded the bandwidth…lol 8O

My station is up “for now” … we lost power pretty quick when Charley hit us… no clue how long we’ll have it this time…

The data got all screwed up with Hurricane Charley but the main page is at:

Some graphs worth following are at:

(Rain is broken… )

And my tropic updates are at:

My Weather Underground station data is located at:

My station’s APRSWXNET Data is located at:

I wont run out of bandwidth… my server is strong enough for it… just don’t know how long my home power will last to keep updating it…

last update at 10:14 EDT… 79.8 mph gust 8O

My barometer just dropped to 29.518 in and continues to fall… I’ve not recorded anything that low before…but our highest wind gust recorded so far is still only 36 mph up here… we’re about to get smacked by Jeanne though…another hour or so should bring some intense changes… and then in about 8 to 10 hours it’s going to get really interesting… I am soooooo thankful we don’t live right on the coast!
