Webcam timelapse setup

Two questions:
What is “32-bit imode”?
Can I create but not upload videolastday.wmv?

Many years later… unrelated to OP’s question but in general - I have a webcam file that is updated in the WD’s directory every minute. I’d like to create a time-lapse video. Which are the settings I need to set in the WD? I’m confused by naming the “all-day video” and “timestamped files”.
Many thanks.

teal.

I’ve followed the video instructions, thanks. The webcam files are stored in the timestampedfiles every minute OK. But when I click to create a last hour video, it does nothing. The moviemaker icon appears for the moment and then goes away. There is no video file created anywhere. The moviemaker log is also not showing any error.
I’m on Windows7, WD build 81. Thanks.

In my “timestampedfiles” directory, there are 2 files created simultaneously:

  • jpgwebcam.jpg
  • camera.jpg

Why 2 (identical) files? Maybe this is crashing the moviemaker?

you can set to have movie maker create a log file
what shows in that?
