Can somebody tell me what the WD 59 refers to in the Info section of APRS-FI Google Maps
G4MHJ-13 13m45s .WD 59
I have a couple of friends who have WD 60.
Is it a reference to my weather station manufacture? The two friends have the same unit whereas I have a different one.
Just curious.
Bob…
I think it’s a reference to the version of wd you may be running. I’m currently running wd version 10.37 and my aprs data ends with WD 10. But that’s just a guess

Mac or PC? I know that the build numbers are different between all the different platforms. I’m pretty sure Mac is up to bld 60 right now.

My Wx Stn is a Nexus by TFA, My two friends both have a La-Crosse model WS2315
Also all using WD10.37, I am using the latest version dated 1st April
Bob
its a reference to the station type
59 is a irox
60 is a 2310
31 is a Davis VP
8 is a WMR968
Makes sense now; mine has the same (59) at the end and I have a Honeywell (Irox)
