I see VWS users want a linux version....

Hi
What do people think of WD for linux?

I see a posting on the vws forum that a quick look at what software is available for linux for weather stations shows there is not much to offer…
is that a fair comment?
maybe someone needs to point out that there are some good programs out there already???

i need to find a subtle way to maybe link to those weather matrix threads…

funny, VWS under wine… VWS drags enough in windows, let alone when using an emulator
not a flame VWS users currently reading this :stuck_out_tongue: just some lighthearted humor

did I read correctly that VWS written using Visual Basic compilers? :? 8O

I am not sure wether its Microsofts C++ or Microsofts VB that its compiled in…

My recollection may be faulty but I thought I had seen somewhere that the underpinning of VWS is a data visualization package like labview.

http://www.alliancevision.com/net/labview.htm

seems to fit the bill
probably why weather lab was named that
and the virtual instruments it has…probably how virtual weather station got its name?
also why vws has been mentioned by national instruments at times…?

interesting!

looks like ed never responded, i guess no linux VWS

If he gets enough requests, he might just take it on board.
