help!
this is my linux HD that i put into my main PC…

maybe i should try it again on the original pc (that has now got w2k running/updating the weather at the old house (but which has a problem i am trying to fix))

did you install windows anytime soon on that computer?

all i did was take the linux HD out from one pc and put into the an another, and now i get that error when i boot from that hd on that pc

i will try putting it back into the original pc…

sounds like a hardware thing… :stuck_out_tongue:

i got to work
it has to be on IDE 0 and not IDE 1 channel

i could see my windows HD too in linux (which i set as a slave drive)
and i could copy files to the clip board from it
but it would not let me write to that HD…
so i am stuck with trying to get the latest linux version, to fix the clientraw.txt file , uploaded…

i do have a cd writer…
is there some linux cd writer software?

Info here http://wt.xpilot.org/publications/linux/howtos/cd-writing/html/ and here

KB3 is usually installed by default by most Linux distro, it is an GUI burner, just like Nero or the like…
What is the format of your win drive? If it is NTFS, that can be a problem. However, if it is fat, you should be able to write. If you are in windows, you can use this program http://uranus.it.swin.edu.au/~jn/linux/explore2fs.htm
