VVP and virtualisation

Here’s a question that probably doesn’t have a simple answer (except maybe no)! (Or maybe it just shows that I really don’t understand virtualisation!)

In some ways, it might be quite appealing to run a PC as multiple virtual machines, each running a different piece of wx software. (That way, obviously, if one program crashes seriously it doesn’t necessarily take the whole PC down with it.) So this might be quite a good configuration for long-term reliability and also for running any experimental programs that might be more prone to misbehaving.

So the question is: Does one copy of VVP offer any means of supplying a data feed to multiple virtual machines at the same time (presumably via a TCP/IP link between machines maybe)?

Yes is the short answer, I have tried it and it works…

Yes, and now that VirtualVP can connect to the console via TCP/IP, an instance of VirtualVP on a machine can connect to the virtual console created by another instance of VirtualVP on a different machine (or virtual machine).
