Weather in AZ

Little light reading of newspapers yesterday. Found an interesting article on the Arizona /Phoenix weather for June.

This has been the Coldest(!) June since 1913… So Far anyway. Sky Harbor, the main Airport station for Phoenix, has recorded 14 straight days where the temp has not gone over 100F. ( I have a couple of times, I usually track fairly close to PHX, but +/-5F or more is not uncommon.

Seems there’s a ‘feeder’ low off the So. California coast, and the tropical depression which hit Sinaloa (Pacific coast, Mexico, a bit N of Acapulco) also has helped the cloud formation. We’re tracking for 104F/40C and higher over the next week.

Yes it has been a bit weird this year. Especially after PHX set a new record for number of days consecutive days over 100
