I did save and exit and then restarted and it seems to be running OK now. I notice a security update had come in earlier…(am on Ubuntu 9.04) and wondered if that may have been the cause.

Depending on the libraries updated I have seen WD crash on Fedora, so it could be the cause but not a definite. Normally, it is something to do with the GTK2 libraries and could be other types of libraries not in the /deploy directory. I turn off auto update and make sure WD is down when I do updates any more.

Upon checking, I find that auto update has been turned off…it may have been the notification that triggered it.

The notification probably would not have caused WD to stop. Since it just throws up a screen, I see those on Fedora all the time with no impact. What time of day did WD stop? Depending on options selected that might be the cause.
