VVP and WD on Linux

I am running VVP on Windows and WD QT on Linux using TCP/IP virtual console. On Linux I am using remserial to manage the virtual serial port. I wonder if I have things setup right in VVP as the only message I see for activity is “Sent response for Wake Up Console.” When I start WD QT up the logger download just loops with these type of messages (I ran this way for 15 minutes with no changes):

There is a possibility that remserial is the problem or WD. In addition WD QT does not pick up the barometer sync messages for CWOP. All I see are

Normal baro = 1019.9 altimeter diff to add = -0.3

I know WD QT picks this up when running from a serial port directly, both the baro and the history download. Any thoughts on approaches to debug where the problem could be at?

On Windows you can see that I have WD, WL and VPLive running just fine.

i might not have completly got the IP function for VP history data working on the linux version

Well, I am trying different things. The barometer part has me stump as it works directly from serial and on windows but not through VVP.

With latest downloads I am getting these messages. I looked at the VVP side on Windows and no change from the above screen shot. Looks like it is trying to read the bar data but no luck.

I suspected that was the case. I did not know if these were expected messages.

I have gone back to the previous incarnation of build 08 prior to the May 2nd release due to the errors with wdisplayftp.ini. I will put the information in a separate thread on the appropriate part of the board.
