Can you use Virtual VP to update the firmware?
« on: January 25, 2009, 05:04:10 AM »
Can i use Virtual VP to update the firmware on the Vantage Pro 2 Plus?

If not how would I go about it? Do I have to uninstall VP?

Thanks in advance.

The updater should be talking directly to the VP2 via its serial or USB port.

I have always turned off VitrualVP and the software that uses it while doing an update.

All you need is Time, Aptitude and Desire ... and you can build just about anything...

You definitely should update directly to the data logger. Stop all weather software, including VirtualVP.
After you've updated the firmware, you can then just start your software again.
