Here is an interesting data anyalist I found on NWS Jueau web site http://pajk.arh.noaa.gov/profiler/profilerVV.html and the profiler http://pajk.arh.noaa.gov/profiler/profilerVV.html. These profilers were installed for wind shear in the area due to high mountains and narrow valley. The heavy metal aircraft makes a U turn in the valley and wind shear was creating havoc for them.
