Finally the school I teach is going to install the VP1  I gave them..  The teacher wants it on the roof.. so I suggested a tripod mount attached to a frame, held with cinder blocks...  The VP wants to put a board up there... i suggested mounting the VP to a vent fan or a pipe or even a rail ladder  or bolting it to a pipe or beam...

Anyway, the roof is flat, probably ice and snow and about 2 stories up...and they want to do this in the winter...

I suggested then the flag pole in the court yard.... Nope they want the roof... I then countered  the VP1  gives a direct line of sight about 300 feet on a good day of 85% with a repeater. ( I didn't give them the repeater.. I promised that to someone else).

Now what I can't figure out is why they didn't install it this fall when the weather was good and dry...    anyway they are hoping to send the signal through the roof.  The roof on the earth science wing is girders.. oh well  this should be loads of fun and games
