personal radar/storm tracking programs

Was thinking about getting this program http://www.stormpredator.com/
Does anyone use this program and can tell me what it’s like and how good it is or use any other programs like this?

I very much like GRLevel3 and strongly recommend it.

Storm Predator is hardware activation locked to a particular machine.
The license for GRLevel3 allows you to use it on either one machine used by multiple people or multiple machines used by one person. They have an owner’s forum for support that you can join once you have purchased a product that is quite active and very helpful, much as this one is.

Additionally, with GRLevel3, you can subscribe to additional data from AllisonHouse (http://allisonhouse.com) that can appear on the radar display. Generally, of major interest is the near real-time lightning data from the US Precision Lightning Network. Other data includes metar observations, county watches and warnings, mesoscale analysis, GOES satellite images, and . . . During the late hurricane Dolly, we could view the hurricane forecast model track predictions. The latest feature AH has added allows you to watch the flight path and view the observations of the hurricane hunter aircraft as they fly about in the storm. If you storm chase, you can tie into the spotter network and it will plot your location and that of nearby chasers right on the radar display.

The only other radar viewing program that can use the AllisonHouse feeds is StormLab, which some people like very much. http://www.interwarn.com/

Not to mention that GrLevel3 really looks and works exactly like the radar you see TV newscasters using.

I found Storm Predator to be a bit gimmicky and it had (when I tried it) a very counter intuitive interface.

I think you’ll find that GRlevelX is on a LOT of meteorologist’s desktops.

ok thanks guys i might get storm lab but still not sure. Post below if you have any other programs thanks

GR3 does a much better job at displaying the radar data, not blocky like stormlab does.
