I’m interested in adding my site to the SWN but I don’t see anything on the website about how to join. I’ve emailed the webmaster several times with no luck. Do I need to know the secret handshake 
?
Maybe spam filtering, try sending a pm to sloweather on this forum.
You are welcome here too…http://www.northamericanweather.net/forum/ This is the main forum for all of the regional networks, SLOWEATHER spends a fair amount of time there too!

there should be instructions on how to join on the sites forum,at least join the forum and post your details that are needed I would say
No forum mentioned on the SWN site. I did join the SWN forum on the northamericanweather site firewall mentioned. No instructions there, either. I posted my question there and PMed sloweather here.
The SWN forum is behind an htaccess password… which originally was to protect an older version of PHPBB… They switched to SMF but still use the htaccess block though I am not really sure why.
Ken (Ktrue) is a member as well.
Interesting. I got an automated email to let me know a reply with the following text was posted:
“there is a link to the forum last time I looked”
but I don’t see any such reply above?!?!?

I think windy edited his post, if that’s done within a few minutes of the original posting the “last edit…” message isn’t added.

Not a problem. It’s just that this whole SWN thing has taken on a surreal quality.
