Georgia Mother's Day Tornados

There were approx 12 F2 tornadoes that struck my area in central Georgia on Mother’s Day. Many homes destroyed, 75,000+ people without power for days and some will be weeks getting power. Local power company says over 500 utility poles were snapped in half. A local college lost 50% of its trees snapped in half. There is one death so far. It is amazing more were not killed.

It is unbelievable what 130 miles/hour wind will do.

I was lucky - the worst passed a few miles south of me. I was without power and internet for 3 days but no damage to my home. I did have one glitch with Weather Display but I will seek help in another forum.

See http://www.fox24.com/article.asp?pkid=12153 for a map of the twisters and http://www.macon.com/607/gallery/348489.html for damage photos.
