Signal loss to VP2 console using a repeater

Hi,
I lost the signal(0% reception)to my 2 consoles about 8 o’clock last night. This is the first signal loss since I purchased the VP2(6163) a little over a year ago. Yesterday I installed the long range repeater(7654) to replace the standard repeater(7627). I had improved near perfect reception(98-100%) with the new repeater for about 6 hours and then complete signal loss. I thought maybe I had received a defective repeater, so I went back to using my old repeater. After that I had 5 more times(lasting 45 to 90 minutes) the signal dropped out with 1-2 hours of good reception in between. Now I’m up to 10 hours without signal loss still using the old repeater.

New batteries in ISS and repeater at one year and rechecked all batteries this morning. I live on a farm and the closest neighbor is about a 1/4 mile away. Nothing new around to cause interference that I can think of. I have temporary moved one console to my ISS and leaf/soil station location to monitor their transmitting quality.

Does anyone have any experience with signal loss using a repeater?

Thanks!
Larry
