Filename.txt instead of filename.html

I am a total novice here too… I need to have a file FTPed to a directory on a remote server as a .txt file rather than a .html file. Can this be done? If so how do I go about it? Can I use filenamelocal.txt and it show up at filename.txt as shown in the directions?

Thanks,
Rich

hi
you could use the custom tags creation
i.e turn on the custom switch
and change the file extension to be .txt instead of .html
and then have a file called wxlocal.txt, with the custom tags in it (and there was some examples included in the download), and then wd creates and uploads wx.txt for you
or you can tick to use the station name you have set. so that gets uploaded as that, .txt (should work), make sure you use the latest version

or if its just any ol file you want uplaoded, use the general ftp to do that
or, you can also use teh customise internet and file creation upload, and set times to create and upload a wxlocal.html file option
