I am a newbie, do not yet have a weather station so am running “stationless”. Have been fine tuning the offsets to get barometer recording accurately (not quite there). When I reset Daily Extreme Values and Selected All Time Record Values they do not clear, staying the same as the first operating day. The metar readings are being received and flash on the screen when the updates are received. Anyone able to assist?
it most likely I have not set a flag so that the all time records are updated by a metar update of WD’s data
or something like that

Thanks greatly for the update. It has fixed the min/max temperature but the average windspeed, current windspeed, maximum gust last hour, maximum average all read 13.0kph and have done so for the past three days since I downloaded 9.96d and now with 9.96a. The metar provides a different wind speed. Appreciate this problem is related to not having weather station connected but is it fixable?

The metar being used is YSSY Sydney Airport. Monitoring since downloading 9.96a shows that the metar details have not updated since closing the lid of the laptop last night. Have restarted WD as well as computer. Using a laptop with Windows XP. Apologies for these problems. I really like the software and intend purchasing but will not be getting a weather station straight away. Strange things are also happening with the barometer - it is manually set then jumps between 1083, 1072 and 1069 on the display but on the real time graph it jumps between 1021 and 1010. Need to set the wind direction gauge manually also.
Have just found another Metar to use - OBSH Sydney Observatory but being unable to receive metars I am unable to check out the data.

Here is WDISPLAY.INI. A couple of things have happened since upgrading to 9.96a.
- Graphs are not plotting with exception of wind direction (which I set manually) and humidity (unwavering on 63% rain or shine)
- The barometer on display reads 1071 but on graph 1021 (correct) - this resulted from entering 1021 manually. Barometer seems to have settled down so I am trying it with an offset of 0 just to see if it will correct the 1071 display. I have tried almost every offset number to no avail. (Trying to understand the whole offset issue.)
- Unable to set longitude but latitude ok.
- Appears to poll but has not successfully updated the Metar since prior 9.96a upgrade.
- Min/Max Temperature set on 16 - actual 17-27.
- Wind average gust/speed wavers between 12.9 and 13 not reflecting actual but when metar info received flashes 40 then back to “default” .
With 9.96d when metar information was received it flashed on the display then disappeared.

i tested with the sydney metar, and the grpah etc and on screen info updated OK…for me…but the metar actual data was not updating very often
Brian, you have fixed all the problems with the turning off of the client switch and unchecking clientraw.txt. WD is working beautifully. Must thank you for your patience and support. You are a master.

working beautifully. On Brian’s advice the Server Enabled switch
was engaged and clientraw.txt was unchecked. Everything is
