Wmr 200 rain problems and weather forcast

weather display is always wrong last hour on the console is 1.0mm of rain and in weather display its showing 2.0mm of rain in the last hour ive got no offset in i dont know whats wrong also the weather forcast is always wrong in weather display but it seems ok on the console any help please #-o

With the forecast icon, if you go to Control Panel > Summary Image & Icon and tick the box that I’ve put a red square around in the attached image and see if that does the trick.

ive got both of them ticked and still dont work

Have you checked the METAR and Webcam settings, in the same section, to make sure neither of those is ticked to use as the forecast icon?

none of them are ticked and the internet switch is also turned off

there is already a thread on the forecast and the wmr200
so why is there a new thread?
i am looking for feedback on that original thread
i.e I need to know the icon number sent to WD from the wmr200 reader program and how that relates to the forecast icon showing on the console

also, for the hour rain, I would use WD’s last hour rain…which is always the last imediate 60 minutes
the console might have a different way of calcuating that

forcast icon is 2 and weather display is sun it seems to always show sun

the 2 should be giving a overcast icon
is that what the console is showing?
maybe you do not have your settings set correctly
.zip and email me your settings again (refresh the registry back up by going action, back up registry entry now)

i see your settings problem
go to input daily weather
and untick, use this icon as the main screen icon
then also go to control panel, solar setup, and untick , use the solar data to set the icon

ive done the first one but i cant find this one untick , use the solar data to set the icon

control panel
solar setup
thresholds/icon/solar setup

is it this set the weather icons unless raining from the solar data

yes

if you want to show the forecast icon, then you will not want to have that set

ok thanks bry ill see what happens now ok

I’m not too bothered about seeing the console icon in WD, but in the interests of research I’ve tried to set it up:

All icon settings were initially as per the original install.
I’ve now ticked Control Panel => Summary Images & Icons => Use WM918…
I’ve looked around the other settings mentioned in this thread and can’t see anything that is obviously out of place.
I’ve stopped and restarted WD.

Console icon: Rain
wmr100.exe data gatherer: Forecast icon 1
WD icon: Sun in a blue sky

Edit: Later…
Console icon: Partly Cloudy
wmr100.exe data gatherer: Forecast icon 0
WD icon: Sun in a blue sky

Later Still…

Console icon: Partly Cloudy at night
wmr100.exe data gatherer: Forecast icon 6
WD icon: Sun in a blue sky

Later Still…

Console icon: Clear night
wmr100.exe data gatherer: Forecast icon 4
WD icon: Sun in a blue sky

Unless Brian wants a full set of Forecast icon numbers I guess that’s enough research for now…

Hi
make sure you are using the updated separate wmr100.exe program and build 18 of WD
i.e, see if that icon number is making it to wd
by setting the log raw data in wd under control panel, advanced/misc setup
then under view, ws2010/ws2500 data setup, see if that icon number is showing there

thanks

Both WD and wmr100.exe are from the latest zip.
Console icon, wmr100.exe data gatherer & WD icon are all currently as per my last post (i.e. forecast icon 4).

Here’s what ws2010/ws2500 data setup had to say:

Loaded all time records

loading the data file month12008.inf
Wmr100 forecast icon raw =4
Wmr100 forecast icon raw =4
Wmr100 forecast icon raw =4
Wmr100 forecast icon raw =4
Wmr100 forecast icon raw =4
Wmr100 forecast icon raw =4
Wmr100 forecast icon raw =4
Wmr100 forecast icon raw =4
Wmr100 forecast icon raw =4
Wmr100 forecast icon raw =4

Does that help?

thats what im geting Sun in a blue sky
