Jumping wind-dir (VP2 serial)

Hi Folks!

I noted a little problem with my new VP2 cabled serial. Wind-dir jumping between N(0 deg) and current dir every now and then (little bit same as in this old thread http://discourse.weather-watch.com/t/13739), I get off the serial cabel from the computer and then it stopped to jump and when i putted it back it started to jump again. I tried to change the computer powercable to a other one but didn’t help.
So my question is have somebody any idea how to solve this?

Hi Folks!

I get it resolved  I’m using a PC for my weatherstation. After many
tests, I took everything off the PC (stormtracker, Davis, 1-wire),
putted one by one it back, not helped, so thinked it could be the
power-socket, is it really grounded wich it look like?
After I looking in the elecricity-map for this house, I found that power-socket where PC and
Davis are connected are putted afterwards and don’t grounded. So
after I draw a grounded line to the PC and Davis its helped, so now
they work fine

So, if anybody have problem like this, check if your power-socket really is grounded.
