Added my Data to CWOP

Hello,

I finally signed up for CWOP and I am now uploading to their data base. Everything seems to be working and my CW ID and Data can be seen here:

That’s an easy operation thanks to Brian - quite painless, and it gives you a backup of some data for the last 24hrs to some extent too. I have had mine there for about 6 months now too.

And if you haven’t already, you can sign up for their Quality Control program. I find it very interesting and useful.

I believe WD was the very first program written to allow for sending data to CWOP.

yes, i am CW0000
but someone in Colorado using open2300 is using my call sign and so my data is being overwritten with his data

SAD!! 8O :physassult: :angry5: :violent1: :rightfighter5: :?

and CWOP dont have any real systems in place to deal with problems like that
I have contacted them about it

Hello Brian,

I checked out your CWOP Pages and see what you mean. it also says the elevation is wrong for Lat/Long

It really sucks that this has happened to you and that they can fix it somehow.

I guess you could always create another account when you move, but you wouldnt be “CW000” Anymore, although everything being sent would be there and displayed correctly.

Take care…Chris

Hi
they have not been able to contact the person
and so they have blocked that call sign, and I am now using a new call sign, but that has yet to start flowing through

Good option for the time being, the guys there seemed easy to talk to, one has actually been out here to the NZ and visited with the Met Service one time…
