I just got a Davis Wireless Weather Envoy to connect my other VP station. Seems to work fine with WD. Obviously there’s no display so software (Weatherlink) is the only way to see what’s happening. Would have been nice to at least have a received data LED on it.
You need to split the case to install the datalogger (sold separately), unfortunately this lets you see just how little is actually in this expensive little box. Considering that there’s nothing in the Envoy that’s new to Davis my personal opinion is that it’s (probably strategically) overpriced even for them. If I had to make the same choice again I would seriously consider getting a second wireless console ($45 more at online prices) rather than the Envoy.
