1-wire....setup question

I have a 3610 weather station, but was reading about the 1-wire stations. I have read the hobby-boards page and searched here, but i dont think i understand how 1-wire actually works.

If i understand correctly…lets say i want a solar sensor and a lightning detector from hobby-boards.

So, all i need to make this work is…

the lightning detector
solar detector
usb adaptor
and cables to go from lightning to solar to adapter and into the computer ?? (and software of course)

Does each device have an input and output spot?

Hi

Yes that is correct. You can daisy chain the Hobby-Board sensors. ie. wire in and wire out of each device. I think you can put up to 100 units on a single network cable.

The software needed can you download - there is a link on Hobby-Boards website.

I have solarsensor with temperatur and a lightningdetector - and the both run on the same network cable. It was very easy to setup.

But my lightning detector i have some trouble with because i need a good grounding - i have a lot false lightning each time i turn on some light in my house.
