Is there something I've done wrong?

When I view the error log in the Weather Display program it shows “Error:10057 Scocket is not Connected at Time” and the time is every 3 to 4 seconds. What have I done wrong?

you most likely have some real time ftp options ticked under setup, web files setup (which I now have in a separate setup page), like the java dials, jave web cam, client raw upload…
and you need a fast permanent connection…
untick those and then restart wd

Thanks for your replay. That seems to have fixed that problem, now I have something else to ask. The data on my web page that gives all the Current Weather and Current Temperature has not updated since 20:30 July 7. How can I fix this problem. Also on my web page there is a link to click for a daily update of the averages/extremes for the month. When you click the link the text is not there only the graphs. What can I do to fix this? I am new to this and have been working on these problems for 2 days to try an fix it by my self but I am at my witts end here. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

first part:
post here the contents of your ftplogfull.txt file
2nd part:
that file should get updated/upload just after midngith (as long as you have that ticked under web upload times)

also check you dont have custom web page switch ON under setup, ftp/internet, custom web page setup

I open the ftplogfull.txt file and it is empty!

make sure you have ftp logging ticked under setup, ftp/internet setup, connections

Do you mean tick “Produce a Log File”? Also, the screen shot of the WD program does not show up on my web page just a box with an x in the middle is all tha is there.

yes
then after a upload, copy and past the contents of the that file here

Here it is.

http://users.farmerstel.com/ddobbins/myweather/%20Dobbins%20%20Weather%20Station.htm

note , if you dont use spaces in the url, then you want get the %20 etc

sorry i didnt reply earlier, i was on the telephone

Brain I want to thank you for your help. I am sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. I have fixed most of my problems with your help. I have learned a lot in the last few days about something that I have never done before. I have one more thing that I need your help with if you are feeling well enough. The Daily Weather Report Average\Extremes has no text only the graphs. How can I fix this? Thanks

hi
its sounds like you are missing the midnight time stamp in the log files
zip and email me the file 72003lg.txt from the folder logfiles…
i.e, if you dont have wd running overnight, then you need to have the data logger set to 1 minute interval for when it gathers the data in the morning
and or try, action, import log files, convert wd logfiles to grpahs, but tick graph file to log file, then click on the file month72003.inf, then click on convert
hey, you look alot like clint eastwood
and, i am feeling better , but throat hurts still bad

actualy, i fee like skin…hummm. i think that is normal,

Brain, I found out why the text is missing in the Weather Report Average\Extremes. I had the text color somehow set to white on a white background. I fixed and it is now OK. Only the days that were set to the white color are still not showing and I don’t know were to edit that in the file. Can you help? Thanks

hi
is this in the program or on a web page?
(if the latter, then please point me to it)
(as i am a little lost as to where you are )

It is on my web page and in the files on my computer. Here is the link:
http://users.farmerstel.com/ddobbins/myweather/July2003.htm
You will have to go to edit and than select all befor the text will show up.

ahh
colour changes are not retrospective
but open up the july2003.htm file in notepad in your webfiles folder (just double click it)
and change the html colour code

Daily Report Daily report for July 2003
Averages\Extremes for day :06

                           ***** CHANGE THIS

Ya! Thanks Brain, every thing is fixed now!

now if only i could fix a first time calvers pinched nerve (one legt is paralised) after calving (big calf) as easily!

Sorry to hear about the calf. I’ve had the same problem. Hefers always gave me the most problems with thier frist calf. If you don’t watch them close you could loose them both.
