Tick in CustomWeb Page
Enalbled download airport metars data for custom tags
Select a folder to downloaded metar
Now, after ftp download into folder Metar appear a file lirt.met with this follow contenute but the wx file created with downoladedmetar1 tag was create without tags value from downloaded metar WHY ??? This Html code it’s no good for WD program to convert tags?

but there are lots of things people are wanting/waiting for me to do at the moment and there is only so many hours in the day in between running a farm, having a house full of sick kids (and me too now)

i will try and find time today
but i am getting more and more busy now with cows calving (the next 6 weeks are my busiest time on the farm, sorry)
i have done this and it works (extracting the relevant data for use for the custom tags)
(but do not tick its a asos/synop metar)
wd will http download the metar as urldownmetar.txt into your metar download location
and then use that file
(with an updated ftp verison uploading now)
I will let you know when this version has finished uploading (takes about 40 minutes)

ok, i have found the problem (in the ftp program), tested, and it now downloads OK
uploading a new vers of wd now, will let you know when ready
ok , but my setting that you see into a picture are good?
i have it downloading OK (and the metars) with your settings
but I need to test the actual reading in of the file…as the format is a bit different once in a ascii type file compared to saving it from the source of a web page…
things are never easy you know
I try , but the metar file into lirt.met,lirm.met and liqk.met are the same of NOAA download.
I have delete the noaa ftp address into box and tick on off the first switch.
The file urldownmetar.txt created but only with lirt data
i just tested, and it did not mix them up for me
but i did get a page not found for the http one , and a file found for the LIQK metar…
we will get there eventualy
its strange that the url is not downloading he file
it did ok when i first tried
i will find some time today hopefully
ok, i have done some looking
the url needs to be
http://adds.aviationweather.gov/metars/index.php?metarIds=LIRT
and that gets the raw un decoded metar
.i.e the .TXT is not needed
and I can then work to decode that
I will do it that way and then let you know when it is working
