Webcam pic and sun

Hi

I use a wireless IP webcam pointing north-west.

On a bright sunny day - the webcam shows a white spot especially in the morning. The sun rises from behind the webcam.

I have tried to set the different parameters in the webcamsetup but without any luck.

See this clip: http://www.buskelundtoften.dk/1/vejret/2007417dayvideo.wmv

What can I do to make the webcam video better? Its difficult to move the cam to another place.

It looks like over exposure.
It could be the camera trying to compensate for the dark roofs in the top and bottom of the picture and not being able to adjust enough for the brightness of the sky.

Would it be possible to point the camera in a different direction for a couple of days, where it can see more sky and less dark objects, to see if this makes a difference?

Hi

I think youre right about the black roof in the bottom and top of the pic. Its difficult for me to move the webcam - so i will try and put in some white tape infront of the webcam - maybe that would solve the problem.

Thanks for your replies.
