Are there any good introductory books for newbies on weather? Anything that is
easy to understand but also detailed?

Depending on how indepth you want, you may take a look at Tim Vasquez’s books http://www.weathergraphics.com/. They are more advanced than the USA today one for example.
Thanks for the replies. I ordered the USA Today book yesterday. Hope to get it
by this weekend. Maybe after I read that one I will get a more advanced one like that Tim Vasquez book.
