Blizzard in Coloardo: Dec 20-21, 2006

It was the same situation at my cousin’s house in Thornton, CO (just north of Denver) with drifts of 3-4 feet around his house. He sent us some pics of him digging out with his trusty little snowblower.

I was watching that storm as it progressed through Denver and Colorado Springs via their traffic webcams. I-25 which is a main artery running through Denver and Colorado Springs was completely shut down all the way to the New Mexico stateline. It was an eerie sight to look at the webcams in both cities and see I-25 completely void of any car or truck traffic. It sure looks a lot different today. Here are a few links for your viewing pleasure and for future reference.

It looks like DIA is finally open with less than 15 minute delays.
