"Error loading confuguration..."

I’ve just configured WDL and it’s working from my local PC, when I’m running wdlv4_15.exe, then I copied all files to my web directory. But all I can see is “Error loading configuration…”! The clientraw.txt looks OK… I’m using IE7, and I have also tested in IE6, but the result is the same…
Can anyone explain!?
I’m sorry if my English isn’t so good, but I hope you understand.

Thanks n advance

Lars,

Your English appears fine to me

The problem is you have multiple instances of this in your Config file:

<PARAM NAME=movie VALUE="wdlv4_15.swf?http://www.mywebsite.com/wdlconfig.xml">

www.mywebsite.com needs to be replaced with the domain name you used to register WDL or if not yet registered then the domain name you want to use, with or without ‘www’ as it can only be one.

Thank’s for your quick respond! Now I have edited the index.html-file, and changed the “PARAM NAME…” so my domain name is correct, and the sub directory also is correct… But there must be some other fault in the configuration… Still appears “Error loading configuration…”!

What to do now?

Kind regards
Lars

Lars,

WDL can only be used with a one domain name and your Config file shows this…
http://www.familjenhakansson.se/weather/wdlconfig.xml

If your license was issued for www.familjenhakansson.se then that would be correct but you would have to access it from the same domain name as well, however you posted familjenhakansson.se originally so i am unsure eactly which domain name WDL was licensed for…

If it was licensed for familjenhakansson.se you would need to remove the ‘www’ from the domain name in the config file.

Let us know,
Bob

It works for me at http://www.familjenhakansson.se/weather/index.html so I think it was licensed with the “www” and should be accessed that way.

Actually I tried with ‘www’ before I posted and got Serial Number error but now in Evaluation mode I see it working as well…

-Bob

Weird, it wasn’t evaluation mode when I tried it before, and I tested the link in my post too :?

Well now it is working in Registered Mode for me at the ‘www’ address and looks fine :dontknow:

Gonna be one of those days I think LOL

-Bob

Thank you all, for all your help! Now it’s working!
Kind Regards
Lars
