I want to add a webcam to my Weather Display program. Many of you are happy with the Logitech 4000 product. Logitech no longer sells this model. So I’m looking at the 5000. Is anyone using the newer model and is it just as good as the 4000?
Hi
I have a Logitech Quickcam Pro 5000. It’s difficult to adjust the camera so you see clouds in
strong daylight without getting a red colour in the image :?
Here is a examplemovie (2,2M) http://hasslosa.se/fim/2582006videolastday.wmv
The red tone i think is a combination of reflection in the camera and a less than perfect Logitech driver.
I think it’s pretty good anyway, considering it is a (cheap) indoor camera.
I have a logitech quickcam pro 5000 and it is a good quality picture but a nightmare to try and get rid of the red sky. Still playing around with it. :?
Did you have special settings for contrast or what ? Your sun is black !
I always have a lot of sun in front of my camera as well and the whole movie is overlighted, beside that I’m afraid it can wreck the ccd-chip

In the winter the sun is black, that's why it's so cold here
No seriously, i think it's just how the camera and/or driver reacts when it's overloaded. I saw that the sun was black on Robs image too.
Thanks for the post, will change the settings over the weekend. Currently servicing the weather station and PC so will not be back online until Sunday.
