I’ve been running Weather-Display with no offset, adjusting the offset on the console itself instead. Weather-Display has been calculating its own barometer, which matches the display on the console. So far so good.
But CWOP wants the data adjusted just for altitude. The value that Weather-Display 10.35j sends (I use this version because I’m running Windows NT) appears to be off. If I switch to VPLive or Weatherlink 5.7, the correct value is sent to CWOP. The difference is about 1.5 millibars.
If I enter an offset of 1.5 millibars into the offset section of Weather-Display, then the correct value is sent to CWOP, but now Weather-Display displays a barometer reading that differs from the console.
Can someone confirm that the incorrect value is sent to CWOP? Was this corrected in a later version? Is there an alternate setting that I can adjust so that I can have both values correct?
I saw that setting but wasn’t sure if it should be checked or not (I have a Davis VP2). I checked the top one (assume bottom one should remain unchecked given my scenario), but the values listed next to the checkmark did not change, so I thought I was doing something wrong. I think I’ll try it again and then restart the program.
Restarting the program worked. I didn’t try just waiting – I guess I’m too impatient for that. Thanks for the help. Now it’s doing what I want it to do.
Brillig, you may want read this thread that I am currently involved in concerning the Davis Atlimeter setting. I’d be curious to see if you run into any probs:
