Need help in understanding why my cwop is not working correctly.

Worked fine not to long ago.

Thanks in advance
Mike

hi
need more info
e.g the ftp log file, copy and paste that here, after a CWOP update
also, what is the lat/long you have setup there?

It appears that your connecting fine, but the data your sending is not changing…

Mike, can you go to control panel → cwop and hit the test button, then grab the contents of your ftplogfull…we need to see the attempt to send cwop data…should look similar to this:

Your connecting to the site ok, the problem is your data is not changing…something in your WD setup is not updating the CWOP data with your current conditions. You could try disabling CWOP, exit WD, re-start WD, then re-enable CWOP and see if that gets it going again, or maybe Brian has seen this problem before and knows what causes it.

I’ll give it a shot…thanks for looking into it.

make sure you do not have set to share the data files in the advanced/misc setup
i.e, is the data on the graph in WD updating?

Graphing…weather underground data are working…I’ve stopped the CWOP program, shut WD down then restarted…to no avail…any other ideas?

Thanks

also check the lat/long is set correct in the cwop setup
also check your time zone is set correct in the windows regional settings, too

Anything strange happen around the 20th with your system?

Mike,

http://discourse.weather-watch.com/t/10889 is the FAQ for installing a second WD on your computer without messing with your current install. It is useful for tracking down configuration and hardware problems. Just setup WD with the bare minimum for connecting to your sensor, ftp, and cwop details. Then see if it is successful at uploading cwop.

Hello all,

I did notice that my lat and long did not match what was on the mesowest map. According to the map my location should be
ID: C2392
NAME: CW2392 Berlin
LATITUDE: 41.5875
LONGITUDE: -72.7645
ELEVATION: 180 ft
MNET: APRSWXNET/CWOP

However when I go to the cwop set up in wd it’s showing as 4158.25N and 07259.45W…Please note that the latitude does not match nor can I manually change it. It reverst back to 4185.25n

Would that explain why the data being sent never changes?
Could or should I do a system restore to see if that helps? Pehaps a file of some sort was deleted during a disk clean up I recently performed.

Mike

07259.45W..

where do you live?
if east of London, then that should be EAST number (E on the end)
i.e you should have, in WD, in the CWOP setup
07259.45E
instead

NAME: CW2392 Berlin LATITUDE: 41.5875 LONGITUDE: -72.7645

the longitude means you are east of London (GMT), Berlin…yes?

Latitude: 41

Here’s the aprs file…

aprs reg.txt (5.93 KB)

What program did you use for that? Having a hard time making heads or tails of your txt file here…lot of strange characters in it make it hard to read.

(I used notepad to open the file, then highlighted the text and copied into the message I was typing above…)

edit: I see some other folks have looked at the file now, was anyone able to read the file without all the extra characters?
