Hot In Western Canada Too
« on: July 22, 2006, 01:22:56 AM »
The extreme heat in the southwest US is now pushing north.

In Abbotsford, BC, I recorded 36.3 C in my backyard today. The official reading is closer to 37 C and still rising slightly at 6PM. It will break the old record by about 3 C, and is threatening the record for all-time hottest day ever, of 37.8 C.

Lytton BC has hit 41.5 C, which is scarily close to the readings in Arizona.

They're predicting 38 C (100 F) or higher here tomorrow, so the record will likely fall, if it hasn't already. :)
