Synchronization to WD will hang
« on: July 04, 2006, 06:01:05 PM »
Hi, I have just bought a VP2 Plus and are setting up the environment. I'm thinking of using VirtualVP and WD/WD Live in an old laptop on a home network. From a desktop I will use TCP/IP to connect to VirtualVP.

On the laptop it works fine live but at startup of WD the screen Datalogger Extraction will hang. I have to click abort and then the connection works fine. I have tested WeatherLink in the same way and it works fine. It downloads the archived data. Are there setting in WD I have missed for using with VirtualVP?

How about adding a warning or something for VP time discrepancy?

its more a problem with the data logger not being able to find the time to get the data from that WD requests...will happen say if the vp clock is too fast....so wd is just sitting there waiting (not really a hang)...
its possible i could get wd to check the time on the console before requesting for missed data, and then report if there is a big difference from the pc time////
