Since I couldn’t do everything I wanted with any one of these approaches, I’ve used all of them to make some subtle changes to my webpage.
- I’ve used Carterlake’s php template for the Local Forecast page, instead of the full Point Forecast.
- I’ve used a modified version of the same template to insert the NWS icon-forecast on the main page, instead of the Weather-for-You banner.
- This allowed me to fix some asymmetry on the main page, which is built using the wxlocal.html files.
- All this was assembled using Microsoft Front Page by a “dirt farmer” who is not a web designer!
