XML errors in RSS feed
« on: February 02, 2006, 09:30:15 PM »
This one is probably for our famous forum admin Chris,

For a few weeks now I have been getting this error on occasion in my RSS client....

"Could not read this feed due to invalid XML or the feed is in HTML. This may correct itself when the author updates the feed. The error was: This is an invalid syntax for a decimal numeric entity reference. Line 723, position 269.."

Any ideas?   #-o
Cheers, Colin.

Does your XML feed reader allow you to see what Line 723 contains?

It will change as new posts arrive and I assume the error isn't always i nline 723? See if you can grab the line with the error in it next time you get the error. That's probably the only way we're going to get an idea what's going wrong.
