Forecast php script (Tom's)
« on: December 27, 2005, 10:35:58 PM »
I am still learning to use some of these scripts, but I can not get the forecast script to work. It will works with Carterlake's http information for NOAA, but when I change to my information, I get the text part but no icons? I had to change the directory on mine to  (images/total_forecast) instead of (ifps\text\images). I is in the www. & public directory http://www.lvweatherguy.com/lvwg03.php Las Vegas uses a differant style on the NOAA web page for printable page. I have the icon in two differant directories, the one Tom uses and mine. I have tried for several days with no luck I could use some help.

Thank Joe   #-o #-o

The script only works (correctly) with "Printable Point Forecasts"

Not everywhere has a "Printable Point Forecast"... and LV is one of those places, I'm afraid.

Difference:
http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/total_forecast/printable_forecast.php?wfo=vef&zone=nvz020&fire=nvz456&county=nvc003&dgtl=&lat=36.175&lon=-115.1363

You can probably get the script to work, but it would require some modifications.

Good morning
Tom, thanks again for the GREAT templates. I love them.
I'm trying to change my forecast page to include the grpahics and text from the following link:

http://www.erh.noaa.gov/ifps/MapClick.php?site=BGM&llon=-75.982083&rlon=-75.307083&tlat=41.740417&blat=41.065417&smap=1&mp=0&map.x=148&map.y=207

But so far I've been unable to get it to work. I get the infamous square box with the red X indicating the scr img can't be found. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Cheers

Hi MikeyM,

I assume you're using the PHP forecast script?

http://www.carterlake.org/forecast.php.txt

If you follow the instructions in the comments... you want to use this link:

http://www.erh.noaa.gov/ifps/MapClick.php?FcstType=text&textField1=41.181517&textField2=-75.582483&site=bgm&Radius=0&CiTemplate=0&TextType=2
