Current air pressure in the Netherlands
is exceeding 1042 mBar.
All time record is 1051 for our region.
Anyone has data to report ?
And more or less nice stories that go with
high pressure.
Last 24 November a similar high pressure resulted
in a 24 hours drop to 978, extreem wind and snowfall
and much damage in the netherlands and Germany.

Since I got my station nearly 2 years ago my record high is 1039 which is the current reading - forecast is for 1043 by Monday which I think is not all that common here. Quite amazing seeing as about 20 days ago pressure was 1039, then went right down to 966 about 8 days ago, and will not get back to to 1040+ again. Amazing.
Here in Hilversum, the pressure drops from 1038 to 975 in only 36 hours. This was very quickly.

Here in North Dakota we hit 1042.5 (30.79inHg). I get these strong high pressure systems during the winter months. I don’t know what the all time record for this area but I am going to do some research on it. Have a great day.

Hi there… max. pressure here in hinckley was 1014.8 hPa last night at 01.14am… now down to 1008 hPa at 08.50am
