blimey, looking good there…is that with metars?
i know my cousin has a wm918 station, using WD, near newtownards (i visted him back in april), but he does not have it on the web though…

There’s 7 METAR’s and including my own, 5 personal stations
there would be more on there if I’d some way to get the info from some more of the weather underground stations

Steve,

WD can use WU station data in the standard Mesomaps…

Under “Control Panel - Web site configuration” tick the map you want to modify and then click on Mesomap Setup and then press “Add a Wunderground station ID”

Many of my stations listed on my regular Mesomaps are WU stations:

Hi Bob,

maybe I should have said non personal weather stations on WU

the personal ones work fine, but I’d like to add, Bangor Harbour http://www.wunderground.com/global/stations/03927.html
and a few others too, tried using the 03927 number from the URL, but always comes up blank when trying to update it.

Cheers
Steve

How about this?

http://www.wunderground.com/global/stations/03927.html?theprefset=SHOWMETAR&theprefvalue=METAR

You can use the metar as well…

Looks like the Raw Metar contains “AAXX” maybe try that and see?

Steve, how many WD sites are there in Ireland? The WDWorld Map currently only shows one http://wdworld.dcrooks.net/uk.html and I wondered if there are any I missed. If you know of any other WD stations could you send me the URL? Thanks.

Thanks for the tips, but I can’t get it to work for me,
I’ll try it later again and see if I can get it.

As far as I know mine is the only WD site online in Northern Ireland
though the position of the station on the WDWorldmap is a bit out,
should be just north of Belfast, (map below) the red star at newtownabbey, above Belfast is where
it is

you sure have a comprehensive web site their SWSproule
well done

Ok, thanks. Obviously the maps I use do not lend themselves to exact coordinates, but I like to have the stations as close to where they actually are as possible. And mapquest doesn’t do a very good job of showing me the locations either #-o

Should be closer to the correct position now.

None of the mapping online sites read co-ordinates very well.

That’s as close as can be now on the WDWorld map

Cheers
Steve

I know of another one, the guys name is john cox, url http://www.irishweather.net/
don’t think he is on your little map

Paula

Thanks Paula. Appears to be a Dublin location. If possible, have the station owner contact me direct so I can get his station added to the map.

The URL to the WD World Map is http://wdworldmap.com/ or just click on the globe in my signature block…

Hi Steve,

I have a station runing in Carling ford Lough. www.haugheyair.com/weather/index.htm feel free to add it to your map.

Andy

Hi Andy,

Thanks, got it added, good to see another station from here online.

Steve

Hello,

Just setting up my weather station in Quin, Co Clare. Its at www.quinweather.com. The site still needs lots of work, just got the domain name and webhosting sorted out. Using a WRM968 and its working very well. Please add me to the map.

Regards

LiamK

great to see the use of the “carterlake” templates

Hi Liam

When you’ve got things up and running perhaps you might make your clientraw.txt data available for use on MML maps. It would be good to get another station on the maps from Ireland…there aren’t too many stations around in the west of the country.

Hi Liam,

I’m doing a new map with weather stations round the island for my website,
if you let me know the nearest town to you can add you to that

and I agree with Chris, good to see some in the west
