WD Questions / Re: Indoor stats problem
« Last post by dan43 on September 22, 2017, 10:22:06 PM »
I finally got this working.  I decided I wanted to add a few more parameters to the testtags.txt file, in this manner:

$indoortemp = '%indoortempinmetric%'; //indoor temperature
$maxindoorhum = '%maxindoorhum%'; //max indoor humidity
$minindoorhum = '%minindoorhum%'; //min indoor humidity

...etc...

Then I called them up in ajax-dashboard.php in this manner:

Temperature: <?php echo $indoortemp ?><br>
High Humidity: <?php echo $maxindoorhum ?>%</br>
Low Humidity: <?php echo $minindoorhum ?>%</br>

When the page refreshes every 5 minutes, I see this:

Temperature: 26.4
High Humidity: 43%
Low Humidity: 37%

It all seems to work flawlessly, and it's a lot less convoluted than the other way I was trying to do this!  I just have to make it look nice now by putting all the data I want displayed into a table.

Thanks to each of you who helped me get through this.

Dan

Chatter / Re: So you think you can fly a drone?

I'm not thinking it was such a "tiny" drone, and could have gone through the train's windshield. I think the best that can be said is "he got away with it", the next guy who tries this may not be so lucky.

My thoughts exactly.  The worst thing that could have happened, outside of irritating the engineer, would have been the lose of a tiny (expensive) drone.

I do not know why you are having a problem with that tag
except that for some reason you are getting 0 c temperature reading coming through
you could try setting a minimum temperature limit in the offsets/limits setup in WD

And voila! Ken to the rescue again! :-) I guess I didn't expect that since it was working on the other site (same hosting). Go figure.
Thanks Ken!

Now I just need to figure out why the $VPsolar doesn't populate, only $highsolar. I'm also not getting the solar % but I figured that was related to not populating $VPsolar

Ok I have been meaning to update on this thread. The last issue I still seem to have is with %nightlylotemp12% tag as reported originally.

Most of the time %nightlylotemp12% outputs '0.0' and occasionally I get an output like this '5.6E-0067'.

I have seen this on various versions of WD including the current version I am executing which is 10.37Sb57. Can you confirm if it works for you or is it a bug?

Thanks
