Hi,
I just upgraded me La Crosse WS2300 to a DAVIS VP. It is all setup and working how it should in WD with the USB logger however....I have had the Davis VP in operation for 3 days and on each of these days WD has shutdown for some reason. It has happened at 3 different times. There is nothing in the system event log or the WD log. I upgrade to the latest WD and still no good.
I noticed that my website was not updating so I jumped on the server (WIN2K3) and thats when I noticed that WD was not running. I had no problems with this for the La Crosse station.
Your help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

a usb driver problem would stop the data flow....but not shut down wd..I would not think..
i recommend to people to get the serial davis data logger, and then a USB to serial converter if no serial ports available on the pc

those are not errors, but program event logs to say that the daily reset has occured
i.e they are normal.
if i removed that event log i am sure I would get complaints about them not being there any more  Shocked
