HB Solar sensor
« on: August 26, 2009, 03:48:09 PM »
Does anybody know the part number for the new sensor used on the Hobby Boards solar sensor.  The old one used to be the CLD240E.  What's being used now?

The 140 is obsolete and was replaced by the 240.  Now, HB changed to another part, because those Clairex photodiodes were hard to get.  No answer from Eric on the HB board, but thought somebody with one here would know.

I don't have the photodiodes and want to see if I can get them from a local supplier.  That's why I need a part number.

Are you trying to copy the HB unit? If so you may just as well buy one because minimum orders and shipping will make the parts cost more than their kit.

Actually, I am buying the boards from HB, but most of the parts will come from local suppliers.  I am building a couple of these,  so I will save a bit of money.
